    The Thai Furniture Industries Association was established on March 17,1980 and was founded by a group of businessmen producing furniture from hardwood, parawood, rattan, leather, metal, alloy, particleboard, MDF board and plywood, and producers of furniture accessories, furniture distributors, and paint and glue manufactures.

    TFA members include furniture makers selling to both the domestic and export markets. Annual export figures for furniture continue to rise and during the years 1987 - 1997, furniture exports enjoyed impressive growth. By 1998, 25,973.20 million baht of furniture was exported, in 1998 this figure rose to 30,144.90 million baht, in 2000 exports are expected to reach 35,000 million baht and in 2001 predictions are for 40,000 million baht. more...
